NAMI Programs & Services
NAMI supports a wide array of educational meetings, support groups, and outreach programs. These services help promote good community outreach and interaction to help anyone who comes seeking assistance.
Support Groups:
Monthly Meeting
A monthly meeting is held the first Monday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. This is an open meeting where people share their experiences and resources they are using, discuss improvements to current treatment opportunities and generally help each other. We have speakers from the community and share NAMI articles and conference information.
Outreach:
Family to Family:
At least once a year NAMI Douglas County presents a Family to Family Class. The course was developed by NAMI and designed to help families better understand mental illness and how to manage it with a family member.
Ending the Silence:
Ending the Silence is a free, evidence-based, 50-minute session designed for middle and high school students. Your students will learn about mental health conditions through a brief presentation, short videos, and personal testimony from a young adult who describes their journey to recovery.
