If you or a loved one is in immediate danger calling 911 and talking with police may be necessary. It is important to notify the operator that it is a psychiatric emergency and ask for police officers trained in crisis intervention or trained to assist people experiencing a psychiatric emergency.

Welcome to NAMI

We are the Douglas County Oregon Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. We are located in Roseburg. Our mission is to serve families, friends, consumers of mental health services, and caregivers by providing resource material, referrals, support groups, advocacy, public outreach and anti-stigma education. We do this in coordination with the national and state arms of NAMI. Our Douglas County Affiliate focuses on our local population and county/city government.
